Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter to join our team in Kerry, Trulee. The successful candidate will be responsible for installing, assembling, and maintaining piping systems according to specifications and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have experience working with various materials such as Stainless steel and carbon.
Responsibilities:
* Read and interpret technical drawings, and specifications to determine the layout and installation of piping systems.
* Cut, thread, and weld pipes using hand and power tools as necessary.
* Install and assemble piping systems including valves, fittings, and fixtures.
* Inspect and test piping systems for leaks and ensure proper functionality.
* Collaborate with other tradespeople and contractors on-site to ensure timely completion of projects.
* Adhere to safety standards and protocols at all times to prevent accidents and injuries.
* Maintain accurate records of materials used and work performed.
* Troubleshoot and repair piping systems as needed.
Requirements:
* Proven experience as a Pipe Fitter or similar role.
* Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
* Strong knowledge of piping materials, fittings, and fixtures.
* Experience with various welding techniques including TIG, MIG, and ARC.
* Ability to use hand and power tools effectively and safely.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
* Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
* Good communication and interpersonal skills.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
* Trade certification or apprenticeship in pipe fitting or plumbing.
* Previous experience working in industrial or commercial construction projects.
* Knowledge of relevant building codes and regulations.
* Experience operating heavy machinery such as forklifts and scissor lifts.
* Candidates will undergo a trade test to assess skills and suitability for the role.
