P&L Manager (New products, existing business)

Here at TalentHub, we are headhunting for a P&L Manager for a long-established retail business who are about to launch a new offering to the international market.
About the Role
The role’s responsibilities include delivering on a brand new proposition, to ensure it becomes a profit centre in its own right, and the ideal candidate will have done something similar for a previous employer in B2C Retail or Ecommerce. This role is responsible for taking the proposition from Inception to a fully operational business, owning the P&L, and delivering commercial success. The ideal candidate will have a strong strategic mindset, commercial acumen, and hands-on experience in launching and scaling new business ventures or product offerings. This is a highly collaborative role, so candidates should have demonstratable experience at working closely with colleagues and stakeholders from Marketing, Insights & Analytics, Brand, Technology, Product Development and CRM, to name but a few. You should also have experience in working closely with external stakeholders and partners, and be able to demonstrate success in doing so. Of particular advantage is a candidate who has launched/worked on a ‘challenger brand’ in a busy/well populated market.
Responsibilities
* Strong strategic thinking with a track record of launching and scaling businesses.
* Commercially savvy, with deep experience in P&L ownership and revenue generation.
* Entrepreneurial mindset—able to work autonomously, problem-solve, and drive results.
* Experience with sales enablement, pipeline structuring, and B2B partnership negotiations.
* Data-driven decision-making skills, leveraging analytics to refine strategies.
* Understanding of performance and brand marketing.
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
* Proven ability to identify new talent, build and lead high-performing teams.
Qualifications
The ideal candidates will have 7+ years of relevant experience, 3 years of which should be in a managerial or leadership role. You should have a strong background in P&L management, and those coming from FMCG Retail, Hospitality, Travel or other Ecommerce businesses that trade internationally will have a distinct advantage.

A hybrid policy is in place so you are not required to go into the offices every day (2 days per week is the norm) but we cannot consider any candidates that are unable to work in Dublin city centre at least 2 days per week.
