Job Description
Construction Manager is required by CareerWise Recruitment for our Pharmaceutical client. The role will require the person to be full-time on-site for the majority of the time, with an initial 12-month contract. The successful candidate will have previous significant experience at a senior level within a project valued over €100MM, along with knowledge of bio-pharma cleanroom/HVAC/E&I, equipment, and utilities systems.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop and maintain a strong safety culture and performance in the field execution of project deliverables.
* Work closely with the EPCM Construction Manager to develop the construction team and build a high-performing team.
* Attend field walk-downs as the Client CM Representative to ensure that appropriate standards are being met during installations.
* Drive initiatives such as Quality Audit Metrics, Right First Time, and Modular Construction approach.
* Complete early walk-downs on systems and work with the overall construction team to resolve punch lists based on priorities.
* Ensure efficient decision-making within the CMT and Client Team.
* Serve as an interface with Ballydine site stakeholders to address and resolve any issues related to the site and external stakeholders.
* Attend Interactive Pull Planning Workshops with appointed contractors and other stakeholders to plan construction and energisation activities in a schedule-critical project.
* Implement Lean Construction Tools and Methodologies in the field, including Last Planner & Pull Plan Scheduling, Target Value Design and Construction, Integrated Project Safety Team Structure, and Right First Time approach.
* C coordinate the project construction programme, incorporating Enabling CSA works, Main CSA Works, cleanroom, Clean & Black Utilities generation/Distribution, Process Equipment Installation, office and warehouse fit-out.
* Represent the client in commercial negotiations and clarification meetings.
Requirements
* A third-level degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
* A proven level of experience in delivering significant capital projects within the pharmaceutical sector (€100MM+).
* A minimum of 10 years+ of relevant experience in capital projects, preferably in Pharm/Bio Pharm.
* Understanding of the typical project life cycle from concept through to qualification and hands-on experience in this area.
* Experience working in a live facility environment.
* A hands-on attitude and demonstrated ability to work with various stakeholders.
