Role Overview
We are looking for a Junior Quantity Surveyor with at least 3 years' experience working in a construction company. This role is suited for a professional who excels in cost management and has a comprehensive understanding of the construction industry.
Key Responsibilities
* Help to prepare and manage budgets, cost plans, and tender submissions.
* Measure and value works on-site, including interim valuations and final accounts.
* Provide accurate cost reporting and forecasting throughout the project lifecycle.
* Negotiate and manage contracts with subcontractors and suppliers.
* Ensure compliance with contractual and financial obligations.
* Assist in dispute resolution and risk management.
Requirements
* At least 3 years' experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within a construction company.
* Strong commercial acumen and negotiation skills.
* Excellent knowledge of construction methods, materials, and contracts (e.g., JCT, NEC).
* Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Proficient in cost management software and MS Excel.
Please note: Candidates with PQS (Professional Quantity Surveying) or specialist subcontracting backgrounds will not be considered for this role.
