Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Senior Messaging Technical Lead to join our dynamic team. As the Senior Messaging Technical Lead, you will play a key role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our messaging infrastructure. This position requires a deep understanding of messaging technologies, excellent leadership skills, and a proven track record of successfully managing complex messaging systems. Experience with Proofpoint, Data Loss Prevention (DLP), and O365 is highly desirable.
Role Objectives
1. Provide technical leadership for the messaging engineering team, guiding and mentoring team members.
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement robust messaging solutions.
3. Oversee the implementation and optimization of messaging systems.
4. Ensure the reliability, scalability, and performance of messaging platforms.
5. Integrate and manage Proofpoint solutions for enhanced email security.
6. Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
7. Foster effective communication and collaboration within the team and with other departments.
8. Lead troubleshooting efforts for messaging-related incidents and provide timely resolution.
9. Implement proactive measures to identify and address potential issues before they impact operations.
10. Utilize DLP technologies to ensure data protection and compliance.
11. Ensure messaging systems comply with security policies and industry regulations.
12. Implement and maintain security best practices for messaging infrastructure.
13. Leverage O365 security features for comprehensive email and data protection.
Qualifications and Skills
1. Proven expertise with Microsoft O365 and its messaging components.
2. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
3. Proven experience in designing and managing enterprise-level messaging systems.
4. Strong expertise in messaging protocols (e.g., SMTP, XMPP) and technologies (e.g., Microsoft Exchange, RabbitMQ, Kafka).
5. Experience with Proofpoint for email security.
6. Knowledge of Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions.
7. Demonstrated leadership experience with a focus on building and leading high-performance technical teams.
8. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
9. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and collaborative environment.
Preferred Skills:
1. Certifications in relevant messaging technologies.
2. Experience with cloud-based messaging solutions.
3. Familiarity with DevOps practices and automation tools.
