Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
* Contribute to the proposal and work plan development for each project.
* Conduct field surveys and complete program documentation.
* Generate system solution concepts.
* Conduct material/product research and prepare specifications/schedules.
* Prepare SD, DD, and CD packages, including Addenda, Bulletin, and Change Order documentation.
* Mentor teammates in support of project work.
* Coordinate work with internal and external project consultants and architects.
* Review and respond to Shop Drawings and RFIs.
* Attend project and construction meetings, making periodic site observation visits.
* Adhere to company standards in the preparation of deliverables, including established QA procedures.
* Prepare project correspondence, punch lists, and reports in support of the project.
* Act as secondary client contact as backup to PM.
* Assist in secondary marketing by maintaining good working relationships with client contacts.
* Embrace specific steps to create, develop, and promote a diverse workforce and to promote an inclusive environment.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
* PE License required; LEED AP Certification a plus.
* Experience in building engineering design.
* Project experience in Higher Ed, Healthcare, state and local government market sectors; Hospitality and corporate/commercial market sectors a plus.
* Lab Design Experience a plus.
* Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
* Ability to lead the team in meeting project budgets and schedules.
