About the Role
We are working in partnership with a logistics firm to appoint a QHSE Compliance Officer. This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and contribute to ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Responsibilities
* Conduct internal audits and site inspections for Quality, Health & Safety, and Environmental (QHSE) standards across the organisation.
* Perform regular compliance checks and update records accordingly.
* Collect, review, and assess essential documentation from sub-contractors.
* Coordinate and deliver employee QHSE induction programs.
* Gather and evaluate necessary documentation from contractors, conduct contractor inductions, and maintain precise records.
* SUPPORT QHSE and Product Safety awareness initiatives for staff through various campaigns.
* Participate in the investigation and reporting of accidents, near misses, and dangerous occurrences, ensuring that corrective actions are implemented.
* Compile data and complete all QHSE administrative tasks, ensuring records are up to date.
* Assist in the review and update of current QHSE policies, procedures, regulations, and legislation.
* Collaborate with line managers to enhance their safety responsibilities for their teams.
* Drive initiatives to continually improve the ISO Management Systems.
Requirements
* Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
* NEBOSH Certification.
* ISO Internal Auditor or equivalent experience.
* Experience working with, maintaining, and implementing ISO standards (ISO).
* Knowledge of relevant QHSE regulations and standards.
* Attention to detail and demonstrable communication skills.
