Fineco Asset Management DAC (‘Fineco AM’) is the Dublin based asset management company and subsidiary of FinecoBank S.p.A. Fineco AM, which started its operations in May 2018, is authorized by the Central Bank of Ireland as a UCITS Management Company and as an AIFM with additional MiFID permissions and it currently has more than €32bn in assets under management. Fineco AM is a competence centre specialised in the management of fund-of-funds, single strategy funds, as well as Structured Solutions Funds. In addition to portfolio management activities, all key supporting and controlling functions, such as Compliance, Risk, Finance and Legal, are also performed locally. Fineco AM started with 5 employees and has grown rapidly over the past 6 years with a headcount currently sitting above 80 FTEs and growing quickly. Currently Fineco AM manages 3 UCITS Umbrella Funds - in Luxembourg (1 fund) and in Ireland (2 funds).
The opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a deep understanding of finance data, strong UI/UX design capabilities, and solid experience with both front-end and back-end development. As a Full Stack Developer, you will be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and deploying Investment products in alignment with agreed specifications and high engineering standards. You will also be involved in developing, maintaining, and improving database models and structures to meet evolving business requirements.
Responsibilities:
1. Understand and work with complex finance data, ensuring its integrity and usability.
2. Apply design principles to develop intuitive, user-friendly UI/UX designs.
3. Design, code, and test programs and scripts based on agreed specifications.
4. Ensure that agreed standards, tools, and best practices are applied to achieve a well-engineered product.
5. Conduct releases to production environments, ensuring proper setup and deployment.
6. Lead and participate in post-release reviews to identify areas for improvement.
7. Contribute innovative ideas and solutions to new development projects.
8. Develop in-depth knowledge of database concepts and data modeling.
9. Analyze data requirements and design, adapt, and maintain data models to meet business needs.
Requirements:
1. 5+ years of experience as a Python Full Stack Developer, with proficiency in frameworks like Django and FastAPI.
2. 5+ years of experience working with React for building front-end applications.
3. Solid experience with containerization and orchestration tools, such as Docker.
4. Experience managing and configuring Linux services for development.
5. Strong understanding of database design, management, and optimization.
6. Familiarity with data modeling techniques, and experience analyzing data.
7. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
1. Prior experience working with finance-related systems or data.
2. Knowledge of Agile development practices and version control systems like Git.
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
