About the Company - This large, international ecommerce company is expanding their Dublin office, and to this end, now require a Customer Insights & Pricing Manager to join a dynamic team of ecommerce professionals across Europe.
About the Role - The Customer Insights and Pricing Manager will be responsible for driving revenue and optimizing customer experiences, with a specific focus on pricing strategies. You will lead initiatives to refine pricing models, enhance profitability, and improve customer engagement. This role will require a deep understanding of pricing dynamics and customer behaviour, as well as the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior leadership with data-driven insights.
Responsibilities
1. Pricing Leadership: Lead the development and implementation of pricing strategies that maximize profitability.
2. Customer Insights and Pricing, including the building, refining and overall responsibility of models to understand customer behaviour and product economics.
3. Collaboration with several teams to ensure cohesion, including Marketing, CRM, Product, Technology and Analytics, this role requires someone with a natural talent to influence but one who also takes direction well.
4. Working closely with the CRM team, ensure the customer base is segmented in such a way that enables engagement strategies, pricing updates, improved conversion, and other lifecycle management.
5. Performance Tracking and Reporting: Oversee the development and maintenance of reporting to monitor pricing performance, product profitability, and customer satisfaction. Provide strategic insights and actionable recommendations based on data analysis.
6. Market and Competitor Analysis: Conduct in-depth market analysis to understand competitive positioning. Use insights to inform models and recommendations.
7. Data Strategy and Management: Provide requirements to the data team to ensure all necessary data for analysis is suitably structured and accessible.
Qualifications - Minimum of at least 5 years’ experience in analytics, including 3 years focused on pricing strategy, ideally with consumer product or experiences. E-commerce experience is an advantage and it is essential that applicants have worked in a Direct to Consumer business.
Required Skills
1. Experience working in cross-functional teams including marketing and technology preferred.
2. Self-motivated, and willing to get involved across a range of areas to make the product a success.
3. Advanced Analytical Skills: Expertise in building and refining financial models, with a strong understanding of pricing dynamics, customer segmentation, and revenue optimization.
4. Technical Proficiency: Highly skilled in SQL and advanced data technologies, with experience in Power BI or similar tools. Proficiency in Python or R for advanced modelling is a strong advantage.
5. Proactive: excited to dig into the data to make proactive recommendations on opportunities for growth.
6. Strong business acumen. Excellent ability to translate complex analytical outputs into clear, simple, and actionable stories.
7. A team player that is passionate about data with strong attention to detail and quality and very curious by nature.
8. Able to promote ideas/solutions with confidence, credibility, and sound business rationale.
9. Enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, multitasking, and meeting multiple deadlines. Excellent time management skills.
10. Likely to be Degree educated with a qualification in Science, Economics, Data, Accounting, Mathematics or similar numerical/analytical qualification.
11. It is essential that candidates are highly experienced with SQL and have the ability to query and combine large and complex sets of data quickly, efficiently, and reliably. You should be able to apply a variety of modelling techniques such as Attribution, Propensity, LTV and Churn.
12. Strong visualisation skills - best practices, compelling presentation, and storytelling, you can bring data topics to life to lay audiences.
13. It would be of distinct advantage if you had Power BI, Python or similar tools.
