Communications Officer - Short term contract - Immediate start
Cpl Marketing are working with a Public Sector organisation who are looking for a Communications Assistant on a week-to-week contract up to 3 months. This role is a varied Communications role with an immediate start based in South City Centre.
Day to day:
1. Take responsibility for the website content, ensuring the information is up to date and accurate.
2. Maintain media relations, including identifying and developing opportunities for marketing and amplifying the company outputs.
3. Produce engaging and timely content to showcase and promote the activity of the organisation externally to a range of audiences using an array of channels (e.g. newsletters, press releases, social media, websites, etc.).
4. Contribute to and coordinate events, including townhall meetings, roadshows, award ceremonies, launches, etc.
5. Evaluate the success and impact of communications campaigns and present results to the Head of Communications and senior management team.
6. Measure effectiveness of engagement activities, including gauging how key communication messages are being received by internal/external stakeholders, and use results to drive improvements.
7. Assist in creating tender/quote documents to procure services for communications projects at a high standard and competitive price.
Requirements:
1. Degree in communications or similar discipline.
2. 3-5 years’ experience in a communications role.
3. Experience in management of websites and social media platforms.
4. Proven track record in devising and implementing engaging internal communications strategies and their budgets.
5. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Ability to work with accuracy under pressure and meet deadlines.
