Reservations Manager (Pre-Opening) at Moxy Dublin Docklands
We are currently recruiting a passionate & results driven Reservations Manager to lead the Reservations Function at this brand new Moxy by Marriott.
As we prepare for our grand opening, we are seeking a dynamic & motivated Reservations Manager to join our team.
The Reservations Manager will play a key role in the set-up of the Reservations department prior to the opening of the hotel.
This person will work closely with the GM & Director of Sales in executing a comprehensive revenue management strategy to maximize occupancy, revenue, and market share for our new hotel.
Key Responsibilities:
* Take ownership of all Revenue related critical path pre-opening tasks.
* Work closely with the IT department to ensure the successful installation of all revenue related systems.
* Complete all required revenue management & Opera training prior to opening.
* To ensure that all revenue related brand standards are adhered to at all times.
* Manage the hotel Reservations function on a daily basis.
* Work closely with the GM & Director of Sales in the management of rooms revenue on a daily basis and ensure the best rates are achieved at all times; ensuring that rates are amended in a timely fashion.
* Work closely with the Director of Sales and assist in negotiating rates and organising special promotions.
* Quote for group enquiries & have full responsibility for the status of groups ensuring that deposits and prepayments are received on time.
* Ensure co-ordination with reception re payment details, arrival times and any unusual requests.
* Ensure that all operational departments have the relevant information in relation to upcoming groups & to compile weekly rooms information sheet.
* To assist in the compilation of a weekly rooms’ revenue forecast.
* Compilation of any reports and information required for yield/Sales meetings.
* To assist in the compilation of the annual rooms budget for the hotel.
* Understand the overall market, including competitors’ strengths and weaknesses, economic trends, supply and demand etc.
* Ensures that no-show reservations are tracked and that charges are processed.
* Ensures that daily arrivals are checked to ensure all necessary billing instructions are applied to reservations.
The ideal candidate:
* Minimum of two years' experience in a senior Reservations role.
* In-depth knowledge of the local market and the hospitality industry.
* Proficient with systems like Opera, SynXis, and well-versed in revenue management practices.
* Ability to work to deadlines, be proactive and work a flexible schedule as and when required.
* Strong organisational skills, with the capacity to self-prioritise.
* Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a team environment.
