CNC Manufacturing Technician - West Dublin
Our client seeks a qualified and experienced CNC Manufacturing Technician to join an established manufacturing team.
Key Responsibilities:
* Machining and Machine Tool Set-up
* Produce components to the highest cost-effective quality standards
* Meet exacting demands of aerospace tolerance requirements
* Comply with AS9100 requirements
* Have a competent working knowledge of Machine Tools, Fanuc/G-Code programming, Part Programme Datum Management, Renishaw Probe System, Tooling/Tool Carousel Management, and Tool Offset Management
* Apply work holding systems including vices, soft jaws, jigs, and fixtures
* Provide feedback for manufacturing strategy development and work holding modification/development
Consumable Tooling:
* Select appropriate tooling relevant to manufacturing requirements
* Manage tool condition and life cycle
* Inspect tools and apply inspection equipment as needed
* Interpret part drawings including geometric tolerances and limits and fits
* Apply surface finish/condition as per work instructions and customer expectations
CADCAM Programming:
* Navigate CADCAM software as needed
* Adhere to standard practices regarding part file management, file nomenclature, machining strategies, and part/tool specific instructions
* Use Software Tool Libraries responsibly
Continual Improvement:
* Participate in continual improvement process
* Identify opportunities for improvement throughout the working environment
* Provide feedback on continual improvement activities when necessary
Minimum Requirements:
Experience in CNC machining using Mills/Turning centres is essential. Experience working to tight tolerances, as the successful candidate will be making complex components with tolerances of +/- 10µm. The successful candidate must be able to work using their own initiative as well as contributing within a team environment. Attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills are essential.
