Our client, globally-known social media platform, is hiring for the role of Content Specialist for the American Market. The main function of a content specialist is to surface the best content and conversations on a text-based social media platform, with a specific focus on algorithmically sourced trending topics. The ideal candidate will have excellent editorial judgment, a strong command of social media, and a deep understanding of trending news and topics, as well as how they inform social conversations.
Requirements:
1. Proven experience in social media, editorial, content creation, journalism or digital media.
2. Deep knowledge of the social media landscape, user generated content and text-focused conversation platforms.
3. Experience with social discovery and/or social listening tools.
4. Skills in editorial strategy and understanding of what makes digital content engaging and relevant.
5. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong orthography and grammar skills.
6. Foreign language skills are a plus.
7. Education: Bachelor's degree required.
Job Responsibilities:
8. Review a range of content and topics, including news and entertainment from a diverse set of users, publishers, broadcasters, public figures, creators and influencers.
9. Identify and contextualize cultural trends and current affairs across a broad spectrum of themes.
10. Apply review guidelines to content at scale, maintaining commitment to accuracy and consistency.
11. Use editorial skills to identify edge cases or guidelines questions, escalating open questions or potential misalignments.
12. Learn and use internal editorial tools and communications systems.
13. Oversee selection decisions and respond to questions regarding guidelines or edge cases.
14. Collaborate with our internal teams to improve user experience.
The ideal candidate will be able to work an atypical schedule as required, including Saturday and Sundays, and will demonstrate a commitment to accuracy and consistency in their work.
Candidate Experience:
15. Fluent in English, alongside cultural understanding of the US market.
16. Flexible in working in a faced paced environment with different projects to work on.
17. Degree/1+ years professional experience preferred.
Salary: € per annum base.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Monday to Sunday (including Bank Holidays). Some weekend work is also required.
