Job Description:
Clinical or Counselling Psychologist Required for Cork Prison
Cork Prison is a closed, medium security prison for adult males.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support the Senior Psychologist and multi-disciplinary team in treating individuals referred to the IPS Psychology Service for mental health difficulties and offence-specific needs.
* Provide time-limited community interventions to support clients' transition from custody to community, where clinically appropriate.
* Consult, train, and educate on behalf of the IPS organisation and Criminal Justice Agency partners.

The IPS Psychology Service is a national, public psychological service that provides an integrated care model. It accepts referrals for a broad range of mental health and criminogenic need.
Requirements:
* Eligibility for graduate membership of the Psychological Society of Ireland (PSI) or the British Psychological Society (BPS).
* A postgraduate professional qualification in Clinical Psychology or Counselling Psychology recognised by PSI.
Desirable but not essential requirements include experience working with forensic populations and providing consultation and education to multidisciplinary colleagues.
