We are looking for a skilled Maintenance/Process Engineer to join our dynamic team in our modern production facility in Charlestown, Co. Mayo and to contribute to our continued success.
Job Overview:
As a Maintenance/Process Engineer at Guardian Doors, you will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing our production processes and equipment. You will play a key role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and safety of our operations.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintenance: Perform regular maintenance and repairs on production equipment to minimize downtime and ensure smooth operations.
2. Problem-Solving: Troubleshoot and resolve equipment and process issues promptly to prevent production delays.
3. Safety Compliance: Ensure all maintenance and process activities comply with safety regulations and company policies.
4. Process Improvement: Analyse current production processes and identify opportunities for improvement. Implement process enhancements to increase efficiency and reduce waste.
5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, process improvements, and equipment performance.
6. Collaboration: Work closely with the production team to understand their needs and provide technical support. Collaborate with other departments to implement cross-functional improvements.
7. Training: Train production staff on proper equipment use and maintenance procedures.
Qualifications:
1. Education: Accredited 3rd level qualification in electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering or demonstrated ability in a similar role.
2. Experience: Minimum of 3 years of experience in an electrical, maintenance or engineering role, preferably in manufacturing.
3. Skills:
o Strong electrical, technical and mechanical aptitude.
o Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
o Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
o Strong communication and teamwork skills.
o Experienced in safety regulations and best practices.
o Knowledge of maintenance management systems and process optimization techniques.
o Working with CNC programming and maintenance an advantage.
o Lean manufacturing experience an advantage.
