About the role
This role is a unique opportunity for a dynamic and progressive accounting professional which offers exceptional candidates the chance to develop a successful and rewarding career.
The successful candidate will report to the Chief Financial Officer (based in Tralee) and will be responsible for all tax matters for the dairy business in Ireland & the UK. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to interact with, and learn from, the Senior Management Team. This role gives the right candidate a fantastic opportunity to learn and progress in an environment which will support, facilitate, and promote career progression.
This is a hybrid role with a requirement to be in the Tralee offices 3 days per week.
What will I be doing?
* Responsible for all corporation tax compliance in Ireland & UK, including Country by Country reporting and Pillar 2 requirements.
* Transfer Pricing compliance and advisory, including local and master file requirements.
* Responsible for VAT and WHT compliance for Ireland & UK and other ad hoc tax returns – e.g. Plastic Tax, Stamp duty, R&D credits.
* Management of tax audits and queries from Irish Revenue & HMRC.
* Responsible for Ireland & UK Statutory Reporting for current and deferred tax.
What do I need to be successful?
In Kerry Dairy Ireland, we understand that people have very different career trajectories and experiences. In order to be successful in this role, we would be looking for the right competencies and aptitudes as well as your proven track record of success in a similar role and environment.
These include:
* AITI or CTA qualified.
* ACA, ACCA or CIMA or other relevant accounting qualification.
* A minimum of 4 years Irish corporate tax experience ideally gained in a Big 4 professional practice firm or from a large multinational environment (1 year minimum out of contract senior).
* Irish tax knowledge essential.
* UK tax knowledge an advantage.
* Excellent numerical and technical analysis skills.
* Excellent interpersonal skills.
* A proactive attitude with an ability to work on his/her own initiative.
* Good knowledge of systems and IT.
* Drive and determination.
* Ability to prioritise and work on tight deadlines to ensure that requirements are met in a timely and accurate manner.
