Sisgate Pro has been retained to help our client source for the newly created finance manager job, based near Lucan, west Dublin.
A key client of ours is hiring the following role:
The Finance Manager will report directly to the Head of Finance and lead an experienced operational finance team. This role has full ownership of the Group Trial Balance and is responsible for Financial Reporting, Divisional Reporting, and Team Development. As a pivotal partner to divisional and budget owners, you will ensure the delivery of timely and accurate monthly reporting across the business.
RESPONSIBILITIES
* Oversee and maintain the Group Trial Balance, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
* Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, develop, and refine new reporting frameworks including income, expenditure, balance sheet, and cashflow statements.
* Track actual cost of sales and analyse margins, particularly within manufacturing and retail operations. Ensure compliance with accounting standards (GAAP/IFRS) and internal governance policies.
Divisional & Budgetary Collaboration
* Partner with divisional leaders and budget owners to provide financial guidance and insights.
* Lead the preparation and review of monthly divisional performance reports, ensuring alignment with financial targets.
* Collaborate with Heads of Division to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for growth or efficiency.
Governance & Compliance
* Ensure robust financial controls are in place and adhered to across all divisions.
* Function as a key point of contact for auditors, supporting audit processes and implementing recommendations.
* Drive adherence to timelines and protocols for monthly reporting and financial compliance.
Team Development
* Lead, mentor, and develop the operational finance team to ensure high performance and professional growth.
* Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the finance function.
* Contribute to system upgrades and ERP enhancements to improve financial processes and reporting capabilities.
* Support business strategy with insight into improving finance operations.
SKILLS PROFILE
Qualifications/Experience
* Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in a finance management role, ideally within a multifaceted business environment.
* Strong understanding of financial reporting and divisional performance management.
* Proficiency in ERP systems and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
* Working knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and taxation regulations.
