What you'll do
The Software Engineer - Frontend will be responsible for building and improving the look and feel of DocuSign’s next generation Agreement Cloud UX, joining an experienced development team with a big focus on delivery and continuous improvement of our product experiences.
A strong technical background and strive for innovation is crucial to be able to evaluate and decide on solutions that are beneficial for the future. The UI work is written with Typescript/ReactJS, CSS, HTML, built on top of DocuSign’s cross-platform Agreement Cloud UX ecosystem.
Experience from writing tests and automation is a must. General tools that are used and to be familiar with are JIRA, GIT, Confluence. The core backend of the product is built in Java and micro service architecture so experience from that technical domain together with Docker and Kubernetes / Minikube is a plus.
This position is an Individual Contributor reporting to the Director of Engineering.
Responsibility
* Deliver product features and technology improvements as part of a passionate agile development team working on a high impact roadmap
* Innovate, design and build web front ends critical to Docusign operations
* Write high quality code in JavaScript, Typescript, and React
* Stay ahead of with the latest observability best practices and share your findings with the team
* Write and maintain unit and functional tests for every feature
* Raise issues proactively that may impact delivery commitments
* Fix production issues and maintain the code as needed
* Address system issues as they relate to performance, scalability and reliability
* Provide direction and supervision across multiple teams to influence architectural decisions and technology selection
* Work cooperatively with partners to create features that satisfy user needs with simplicity, consistency and robustness
* Identify, propose, and implement process improvements to continuously increase the team's productivity and efficiency
* Maintain and evolve the software architecture for current and future needs
Job Designation
Hybrid: Employee divides their time between in-office and remote work. Access to an office location is required. (Frequency: Minimum 2 days per week; may vary by team but will be weekly in-office expectation)

What you bring
Basic
* B.S. in Computer Science or similar field of study
* 5+ years of overall software product development or experience with Cloud, SaaS, Enterprise software engineering
* 3+ years of experience developing JavaScript web applications
* Professional experience with client-side frameworks (such as React, Redux, Angular or similar modern JS frameworks)
* 2+ years of experience building large scale enterprise applications
* Hands-on, professional experience with consuming and building RESTful web-services
Preferred
* Experience implementing accessible web applications for a global audience
* Experience with implementing web apps using micro-front end architecture
* Experience working with remote teams
* Agile and development methodologies
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills; strong attention to detail
* Natural skills for both teaching and learning from others in a collaborative team environment
