We are seeking an experienced Accessibility Test Lead to join our financial services client on a daily rate contract. This role is based in Dublin with a hybrid working model. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that web and mobile applications are fully accessible to users with disabilities, adhering to WCAG standards and other relevant accessibility guidelines.
Key Responsibilities
* Conduct accessibility testing for web and mobile applications to ensure compliance with WCAG and other accessibility standards.
* Document and report accessibility issues, providing clear and detailed descriptions of problems and their locations.
* Collaborate with development teams to resolve accessibility issues and improve digital accessibility.
* Conduct usability testing with individuals with disabilities to gather qualitative data and insights.
* Stay updated on accessibility legislation, best practices, and emerging technologies.
* Lead accessibility testing projects within the online or mobile banking domain.
* Create and maintain comprehensive reports on the accessibility status of tested products.
* Provide recommendations and solutions to enhance the accessibility of digital content.
Required Skills & Experience
* 10+ years of experience in Accessibility Testing for web and mobile applications.
* Strong familiarity with WCAG standards and conducting accessibility audits.
* Extensive knowledge of assistive technologies (e.g., JAWS, NVDA, VoiceOver).
* Deep understanding of accessibility non-functional requirements (NFRs).
* Prior experience in the banking sector and leading accessibility testing projects for online or mobile banking.
* Ability to work independently and manage accessibility testing initiatives.
* Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
