Team Horizon is seeking an EMC Validation Engineer for a leading manufacturing company based in North Galway. The role is responsible for all EMC Validation activities from RFQ phase to final customer acceptance of a defined project, running the activities for one project according to company rules and international standards. Optionally, the role of ET Validation Leader for Electrical Testing can be taken over by the EMC Validation Leader.

What you will be doing:
1. Analysis of the EMC (and optionally ET) relevant requirements.
2. Definition of the EMC (and optionally ET) test cases according to the requirements, standards, regulations, and further.
3. Writing and maintaining of EMC (and optionally ET) Test Plan, including review and approval of the document.
4. Prepare FVS from EMC (and optionally ET) perspective.
5. Generation of EMC (and optionally ET) validation cost estimation.
6. Lead EMC (and optionally ET) validation activities including equipment, planning, and booking of internal and external resources.
7. Based on failure analysis, make proposals for design optimization.
8. Perform internal communication including status and test progress, results.
9. Interface with the EMC (and optionally ET) Design Team.
10. Perform customer communication verbally and in written format about all relevant EMC (and optionally ET) topics including EMC (and optionally ET) test status, results, and reports.
11. In case of failure during validation campaigns, creation of failure tickets (artifact) and reporting to the Project team (M-MP, R&D Mechatronics PTM, EMC Design Engineer).
12. Support product conformity according to Type Approval process.
13. Support EMC (and optionally ET) Design Engineer about EMC (and optionally ET) risk analysis.
14. And any other duties as assigned.
What you need to apply:
1. Degree in Electronic Engineering, Physics, Electronics / RF Microwaves or equivalent preferred.
2. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
3. The person must demonstrate a level of commitment, initiative, and quality of workmanship required within an R&D environment.
4. Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in EMC test laboratory or in an EMC related role preferred.
5. Minimum of 2 years relevant experience in electronics development may be acceptable.
