Electrical Engineer
Our client, a multi-nation engineering firm that supplies and fits manufacturing plant & equipment, is looking to recruit an electrical engineer to join their team. This role involves electrical design and site supervision of installations in the processing or similar industries. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage projects from concept to completion. The role will be based both in their office in Kildare and on client sites around the country.
The Role:
* Electrical Design: Develop electrical designs adhering to regulations, standards, and specifications.
* Project Execution: Plan, design, budget, purchase, install, and commission electrical systems and components for projects.
* Site Supervision & Commissioning: Oversee site activities, ensure compliance with safety and quality standards, and manage the commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems.
* Motor Control & Instrumentation: Work with motor control systems, MCCs, and instrumentation commissioning.
* Coordination: Collaborate effectively with third parties, contractors, and end users to ensure seamless project execution.
* Schedule Management: Work independently to manage schedules and deliverables, ensuring timely completion of projects.
The Person:
* Either a third-level qualification in engineering (diploma or honours bachelor’s degree, NFQ level 7+), or a Craft or other technical qualifications will be considered for candidates with significant experience.
* Ideally a minimum of 5 years’ experience in electrical engineering, preferably in the processing or related industries.
* Familiarity with electrical design practices, regulations, and standards.
* Proven experience with motor control, MCCs, and instrumentation commissioning.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with proficiency in written and spoken English.
* Strong project management skills, including planning, budgeting, and execution.
* ATEX design and installation experience (preferred).
* Ability to work autonomously and manage multiple tasks effectively.
* Full driving license (valid in Ireland, EU, or UK).
