Key responsibilities:
* Management of cleaning operatives at client sites on a daily basis.
* Visit assigned sites regularly to audit delivery, QMS, and H&S.
* Budgetary control of costs vs budgets with variances understood and explained.
* Creation of purchase orders as needed; approve invoices for payment.
* Provide strong customer support in line with contract SLA's.
* Daily dealings with suppliers; responsible for signing off supplier invoices for payment.
* Mobilise new contract wins, following the Mitie Mobilization plan from TUPE through to steady state.
* Motivate onsite staff, train, supervise, and organise replacement cover as required.
* Agree on training needs and facilitate staff accordingly.
* Support business development regarding surveys, pricing, and meetings with prospective clients.
* Undertake performance management of staff under your control, managing performance as necessary.
* Manage disciplinary and grievance issues with guidance from HR for a consistent approach.
* Review applications, interview, and select new recruits as needed.
* Provide a safe working environment for employees on client sites; cooperate and coordinate with clients on health & safety matters.
* Complete “Toolbox” talks with staff regularly.
About you:
* Previous Facilities Management or related industry experience required.
* Good people management skills, with at least 2 years demonstrable team management.
* Interest in delivering outsourced Soft Services.
* Commercial awareness.
* Budget Management & resource planning experience.
* Proven track record in a demanding environment.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
