As part of the credit control function, you will play a key role in managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and supporting overall financial operations. This is a great opportunity for a detail-oriented professional with strong communication and analytical skills.
The Role
As a Credit Controller, you will:
1. Implement company credit control policies and ensure adherence to agreed payment terms
2. Manage customer collections through letters, phone calls, and stop lists
3. Process and approve credit applications
4. Handle customer queries related to credit control issues
5. Prepare monthly aged debt and risk reports for senior management and the sales team
6. Monitor and pursue returned payments
7. Ensure debtor policy procedures are followed for overdue balances
8. Manage Atradius credit insurance in line with agreed terms
The Ideal Person
1. 5+ years of experience in credit control or a similar role
2. Strong IT and data management skills
3. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills
4. Strong business acumen and numerical ability
5. Highly organised with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
6. Ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams
7. Strong customer focus and problem-solving mindset
