Medical Scientist / Biomedical Scientist in Histology
We are currently seeking to recruit a Medical Scientist / Biomedical Scientist to join our Histology team in Eurofins Pathology in Sandyford, Dublin 18. An ambitious professional looking to grow their Histology career with us.

Job Description
Reporting to the Chief Medical Scientist and as an integral part of the department’s team, the successful candidate will have practical experience in Cellular Pathology and relevant histology knowledge. As a competent Medical Scientist / Biomedical Scientist (Histology) with a flexible approach, you will rotate through all functions of a histopathology laboratory including cut–up/dissection, embedding, microtomy (manual and automatic), and routine and special stains.
You will participate in the development and maintenance of the ISO 15189 quality management system, ensuring quality-focused results for patient care and assisting in the Total Quality Improvement of the department.
Qualifications
Education:
* Bachelors Degree in Biomedical Science
AND
* Be registered with CORU as a Medical Scientist
Or
* Be currently registered with HCPC as a Biomedical Scientist
Experience:
Typically 1 year in a similar role, but not mandatory (can be trained in-house post qualification)
Licences / Certifications:
CORU registered or HCPC registered as Medical Scientist/Biomedical Scientist
Knowledge:
* Have the requisite knowledge and ability for the proper discharge of the duties of the office.
Skills and Abilities:
* A diligent, strong work ethic with the ability to work on your own initiative.
* Excellent organisational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
* A proven team player who enjoys working with a close-knit team of dedicated professionals.
Working Hours: 35 hours per week
