We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Big Box Supermarket Manager to lead our Cork City store. Reporting directly to the Store Director, you will be responsible for driving sales and profit growth while maintaining exceptional customer service standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Sales and Profit Growth: Support the Store Director in achieving sales and profit targets through effective stock management, merchandising, and promotions.
* Customer Service: Provide high-level customer service by ensuring that all customers receive a positive shopping experience.
* Store Operations: Manage stock and cash control procedures, investigate and report any variances, and maintain store staff by recruiting, selecting, and training new employees.
* Controllable Costs: Manage all controllable costs to keep operations profitable.
Requirements
* 3+ years of retail management experience in a large-format retail environment with fresh foods.
* Experience using Retail IT systems to understand stock and sales trends.
* Excellent people skills with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
* The ability to work in high-pressure situations.
* Strong organizational and time management skills.
This is a full-time position offering a competitive salary of up to €45,000 (dependent on experience), pension benefits, and a 43-hour contract.
