Part-Time Medical Secretary – Dublin 6
Excel Recruitment is currently seeking an experienced Medical Secretary for a part-time permanent position in a busy GP practice in Dublin 6. This role requires someone who can work independently, managing all administrative duties efficiently in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Managing patient appointments, scheduling, and correspondence.
2. Handling phone and email inquiries with professionalism and confidentiality.
3. Processing medical documents, referrals, and prescriptions.
4. Maintaining and updating patient records in line with GDPR and medical confidentiality guidelines.
5. Liaising with GPs, nurses, and healthcare professionals to ensure smooth clinic operations.
6. Handling billing, processing payments, and managing insurance claims.
Requirements:
1. Minimum 2 years’ experience in a medical secretary role, ideally in a GP or primary care setting.
2. Ability to work independently and manage a busy workload efficiently.
3. Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
4. Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with patients and healthcare staff.
5. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and electronic medical record systems.
