Dublin 2/4 area Salary: €45,000 - €50,000 Benefits: Pension, Healthcare, and Death in Service Benefit A leading Legal firm in Dublin City Centre is seeking an experienced Senior Accounts & Payroll Assistant to join its finance team.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented professional with strong financial acumen who is looking to advance their career in a dynamic and professional environment.
Responsibilities Act as the primary finance contact for all queries related to transactions recorded on the practice management system, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of issues.
Manage and process payroll for approximately 100 Irish staff monthly, including salary calculations, tax deductions, pension contributions, and compliance with payroll regulations.
Ensure payroll accuracy by coordinating with HR, handling employee queries, managing payroll adjustments, and staying updated on tax and employment law changes.
Record and process all client account fund transfer requests, ensuring strict adherence to financial control procedures, timely execution, and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Perform month-end control procedures on key balance sheet items, including reconciliation of Work in Progress and Outlay control accounts, investigating discrepancies, and ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Prepare and review financial reports, ensuring all transactions are recorded correctly and aligned with internal audit and compliance requirements.
Assist in cash flow management and forecasting, helping to maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing funds to support financial decision-making.
Support internal and external audits by ensuring financial documentation is up-to-date, accessible, and compliant with relevant legal and regulatory standards.
Assist with shared finance tasks, including document stamping, petty cash management, invoice processing, and ensuring financial records are maintained efficiently.
Provide backup support for finance team members during absences or busy periods, ensuring continuity of financial operations and maintaining high service levels.
Requirements Minimum 5 years experience in a finance or accounts assistant role.
Experience managing end to end payroll processes is essential Strong knowledge of financial control processes and reconciliations.
Proficiency in using financial systems, particularly Keyhouse or similar practice management systems.
Ability to work accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
