Purpose of the Position** This role involves collaborating with the Nursing team and Heart and Vascular team to ensure exemplary patient care through a well-trained and highly motivated team, alongside efficient use of resources.

Duties and Responsibilities** - **Practice Compliance:** Work within the professional scope, policies, procedures, and standards set by the Nursing Department and NMBI.
- **Provide Quality Nursing Care:** - Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care from admission through discharge.
- Complete and maintain relevant patient care documentation and records accurately.
- Report relevant patient care details to nursing, medical, and clinical staff as needed.
- **Interdepartmental Coordination:** - Maintain accurate and confidential medical records per hospital policy, using only approved abbreviations.
- Adhere to medication policies, ensuring compliance with safety and recording protocols for scheduled drugs.
- **Professional Conduct:** - Demonstrate a professional, courteous, and caring attitude towards patients, families, and all service users.
- **Documentation and System Updates:** - Ensure hospital information systems are kept current as required.
- **Emergency Response:** - Act promptly and effectively during emergencies.
- **Independent Care Provision:** - Provide care with minimal supervision, overseeing the department in the absence of CNM1.
- Exercise discretion and judgment in patient care, consulting with CNM1, CNM2, Medical Staff, or relevant disciplines when needed.
- **Departmental Support:** - Assist with stock control, ensuring necessary supplies are always available.
- Contribute to nursing "Best Practice" by identifying recurring nursing issues and implementing evidence-based improvements.
- **Incident Reporting:** - Report and document adverse occurrences regarding patient or staff safety per hospital policy.
- **Miscellaneous Duties:** - Perform additional duties as assigned by the Nurse in Charge or CEO.
- **Confidentiality and Accreditation:** - Uphold procedures on patient confidentiality and record security, supporting the achievement and maintenance of hospital accreditation standards.
