The Team and the opportunity
Assurance is our largest service line, where you will work with high-performing teams serving leading clients, both locally and globally. Financial Services Assurance is a significant growth area for us, and we are looking to grow and develop our team.
Your key responsibilities
* Be a fundamental part of a multi-disciplinary team working closely with our clients alongside partners and directors.
* Deliver efficient and effective audit and assurance services.
* Be part of a client-facing team responsible for the day-to-day running of assurance projects.
* Liaise with other EY services lines and offices.
* Have exposure to a variety of client needs including technical and operational complexities.
* Interact with business leaders.
* Gain understanding of client/business issues using the firm's knowledge resources.
* Prepare accurate assurance documentation for review and complete work allocated within agreed budget and deadlines.
To qualify for the role, you must have
* Qualified ACA/ACCA (ICAEW, ICAS, Irish Institute or equivalent qualification).
* Experience in Internal or External Audit.
* Experience working in a financial services department within a professional services firm, with a strong preference for experience in Private Equity, Real Estate, and Private Credit sectors.
* Detailed knowledge of the relevant accounting standards impacting the sector.
* Demonstrate expertise in primary accounting frameworks (US GAAP, UK GAAP or IFRS) and related financial reporting matters.
* Minimum of 18 months' left on your valid Passport to facilitate Work Permit & Visa applications (where applicable).
