Health & Safety Officer - Greater Dublin Area
The CSR Group has been retained by one of Ireland's leading contractors who are seeking to employ an intermediate level H&S professional.
This company works across all sectors within the construction industry, mostly around the Dublin area. They class Health & Safety as a main priority within their working environment.
You will be working under a mix of site and office work in the Greater Dublin Area while being available for travel if necessary.
Job Requirements:
* Keeping up to date with new legislation and maintaining a working knowledge of all Health and Safety Executive (HSE) legislation and any developments that affect the employer's industry
* Leading in-house training with managers and employees about health and safety issues and risks
* Outlining safe operational procedures which identify and take account of all relevant hazards and communicating to all employees
* Keeping records of inspections findings and producing reports that suggest improvements
* Keeping records of incidents and accidents and producing statistics for managers
* Delivering Toolbox Talks and liaising with HSE, Fire Officers, Environmental Health Officers
* Carrying out regular site inspections to check policies and procedures are being properly implemented and adhered to
* Making changes to working practices making them safer and ensuring they comply with current legislation
Skills and Qualifications:
* Recognised EHS Degree or Diploma (NEBOSH diploma or equivalent qualification preferred)
* 2+ years in similar role
* Previous construction experience
* Pharma experience (preferred)
