The Head of M&A Execution will be responsible for leading and managing the organisation's M&A initiatives.
Drive the M&A execution and related project management, due diligence and valuation, working with key stakeholders.
Thought leader in M&A and related cross-functional areas (e.g.
products, distribution, finance, actuarial and partnerships).
Recognised source of innovative and thoughtful ideas for unique or complex matters or situations.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES Market scanning and deal sourcing, including identification of potential targets and partnerships.
Enhance FWD's network of external advisors to source opportunities.
Lead M&A team day-to-day.
Lead coordination and execution of M&A and investment projects, across the entire lifecycle of M&A initiatives including due-diligence, valuation, negotiations, investment memos and approval processes, post-deal integration, and post-deal performance tracking.
Coordinate external advisors.
Key stakeholder in working with Senior Executives in developing negotiation strategies as well as negotiating with external counterparties.
Review, comment and amend legal documents including distribution agreements.
Lead management, training and development of junior team members.
Develop and lead cross functional and country initiatives to deepen collaboration and knowledge sharing.
QUALIFICATIONS / EXPERIENCE Advanced Business, Finance or Actuarial degree.
12+ years of M&A or investment banking related experience.
Proven experience in leading M&A processes and review and negotiation of transactions documents.
High degree of business acumen and extensive knowledge of life insurance industry.
Experienced in managing cross-functional teams (internal and external stakeholders) and working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to prioritise multiple initiatives.
