Job Responsibilities
1. Implementation of global purchasing strategies including Quality, Safety, and cost goals.
2. Management of internal customer requirements.
3. Prepare quotations and negotiate the best terms and conditions that meet our Company goals.
4. Responsibility for contract negotiations alongside the Procurement lead.
5. Implement and drive resolution of key issues and meet Customers’ expectations. Order placements for new products material and management of deliveries.
6. Lead the subcontract element in conjunction with the subcontract team of any new supply chain development and support the internal subcontract reviews.
7. Continuous tracking of supplier performance, data processing and supplier services, implementation of corrective actions in case of deviations.
8. Review and renewal of contracts (where appropriate) due to total cost of ownership (TCO).
9. Review, support, and lead where required the Indirect Procurement covering areas such as Sustainability, Engineering, Capital, and Consumables, working closely with the relevant team in negotiations and contract implementation.
10. Identify and handle risks, identifying mitigation plans and updates risk register.
11. Ongoing support within the Cork Procurement organization and to other site procurement teams.
12. Support the evaluation of new suppliers by collection and administration of supplier evaluations information and handle all pre-audit of new suppliers.
13. Organization of joint meetings to identify further potential savings around TCO.
14. Establish the appropriate robust supply chain to meet the need of all new products and maintain good collaboration and relationships with suppliers.
15. Ongoing monitoring of supplier services through evaluation and audit plans; Implementation of supplier audits.
16. Organization of cross-functional actions to improve performance and cost reduction.
17. Identification of possibilities for improvement in contracts and renegotiations.
Minimum Requirements
Minimum level of Education: Diploma in Supply Chain Management or an equivalent required.
Preferred level of Education: Degree in Supply Chain Management or an equivalent Purchasing qualification.
