Job Title: Homeless Service Provider
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our team in Dublin, working with a leading non-profit homeless service provider.
About the Role:
* The purpose of this role is to provide professional services and support to single people who are out of home or at risk of homelessness.
* This includes providing access to food, respite, and advice and information in a safe and welcoming environment.
Responsibilities:
* FOLLOW ALL POLICIES WHILE ON-SITE
* Provide a safe and welcoming environment for people by facilitating conditions which reduce or remove incidents and/or harmful behaviours of people, having regard to the organisations TCI and managing violence policies.
* Interact with people including observing their behaviour, dealing with people's emergencies in accordance with guidelines and reporting incidents to appropriate staff and recording observations for communication to other staff.
* Assist in the daily cleaning of the service.
* Responsible for keeping up to date contact records, daily logs and written Incident and Child Protection Reports.
* Assist in mentoring new staff and role model good work practice.
* Provide reports on a monthly basis as deemed necessary by management.
Requirements & Experience Needed:
* A relevant third-level degree in social care, such as youth work, social studies, addiction, psychology.
* At least 2 years' experience in the social care field working with disadvantaged persons.
* Experience of supporting marginalised persons with high-risk and challenging behaviour.
* A working knowledge of issues affecting people out-of-home and their impact on people and their physical, emotional and psychological development/status.
