Edwards Ireland are now looking to hire an experiences Supplier Quality Engineer on a 6 month fixed term contact.
How Will You Make An Impact?
1. Apply knowledge of quality engineering principles and methods to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and Edwards' systems/procedures to optimize product development, internal and external device manufacturing and device distribution.
2. Investigate moderately complex manufacturing product quality and compliance issues (e.g., CAPA, non-conformances, audit observations) for all production processes prior to final product release based on engineering principles; analyse results, make recommendations and develop reports.
3. Develop moderately complex experiments and tests (including writing and executing protocols) to create, validate, and improve products (including evaluation of source materials and suppliers) and manufacturing processes/methods based on engineering principles; analyse results, make recommendations, and develop reports.
4. Optimize moderately complex Manufacturing processes using engineering methods (e.g., SIX Sigma and LEAN methods) for design for manufacturing and for continuous process improvement. Identify opportunities for re-design/design of basic equipment, tools, fixtures, etc. to improve manufacturing processes, and reduce risk.
5. Develop, update, and maintain technical content of risk management files
6. Develop training and documentation materials for production (e.g., work instructions) to enable the seamless knowledge transfer of project and manufacturing processes.
7. Assign support tasks; gives instruction to technicians on conducting tests; trains technicians and provides feedback; and may coordinate technician work.
8. Other incidental duties assigned by Leadership
What You Will Need
9. Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Scientific field
10. Minimum 2 years experience in manufacturing environment

11. Good computer skills in usage of MS Office Suite
12. Ability to read and interpret drawings
13. Good documentation, communication and interpersonal relationship skills including negotiating and relationship management skills
14. Basic understanding of statistical techniques
15. Previous experience working with lab/industrial equipment required
16. Solid understanding and knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to Engineering
17. Solid problem-solving, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills
18. Solid understanding of processes and equipment used in assigned work
19. Knowledge of and adherence to Quality systems
20. Strict attention to detail
21. Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels
22. Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast paced environment
23. Must be able to work in a team environment, including the ability to manage vendors and project stakeholders
24. Ability to build productive internal/external working relationships
