St. Michaels House is committed to providing individualised supports to people so that they can enjoy experiences, opportunities and lifestyles similar to their peers. A vacancy exists for full-time Permanent Clinical Nurse Manager 1 (CNM1) role in Donabate respite services. Donabate respite is a community respite house providing support to 40 children. No more than six children at a time are supported during their breaks to engage in community-based activities. Staff provide for a variety of nursing, social and emotional support needs. Support is provided to children with a variety of complex needs, for example life limiting conditions, and autism support needs etc. Applications are invited for the post of CNM1 supporting children with an intellectual disability in our Childrens Respite Service. This is an exciting opportunity for someone whos passionate about children and interested in providing opportunities for children with a disability to develop their full potential in a compassionate and child centred environment. Sometimes families need a break and sometimes children need a chance to play with their friends. This is a hugely rewarding role for someone interested in working in a dynamic service. Essential Criteria: Have a RNID qualification and be presently registered and approved by the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Ireland (NMBI). Other Nursing disciplines with a minimum of 3 years Staff Nurse years experience in the area of intellectual disability may apply. Have at least 3 years Staff Nurse experience in intellectual disabilities Have at least 6 months in staff support, taking the lead in teams, resource management, and administration duties Be knowledgeable of Health Act 2007 and have experience and understanding of HSE, (2015) Interim Standards for New Directions. Have experience in the area of intellectual disability, complex health needs, positive behaviour support, advocacy and social inclusion A working knowledge of Safeguarding Policy Possess a strong commitment to the provision of a quality individualised person-centred service Possess experience in key-working and have knowledge of the quality system Desirable Criteria: Recognised management qualification desirable Evidence of Continuous Professional Development Salary Scale: Successful candidates will be paid in line with HSE revised consolidated HSE Clinical Nurse Manager 1 Scale Closing date for receipt of applications is 5pm 28thMarch 2025.
