The Role Preventative and corrective maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of production lines and plant equipment.
Continuous improvement of production processes equipment, by identifying and implementing improvement projects to improve the operating effectiveness of equipment.
To be familiar with all relevant SOPs, equipment validation and controls for the operation and safe running of lines.
Project Lead/Supervisor on plant upgrade projects/customer projects.
Identify opportunities/solutions to add additional value to plant/customers by identifying performance constraints, clearly communicating same to customer and colleagues for follow-up.
Maintenance planning: plan the scope of work required, ensure all spares are in stock and available, organise external vendors.
Assist with training of machine operators on machine set up, fault correction, adjustment, etc.
To be observant & work off your own initiative when a fault is detected & to take action based on your best judgment on whether to effect immediate repair or not To keep clean any areas in which you are working, including any transit areas to and from the workshop, including the workshop and stores Co-operate and participate fully in training and development in cross-skilling and other job-related competencies Provide full support in achieving customer and other audit standards.
Co-ordinate and supervise external contractors.
Requirements Trades Qualified Mechanical with electrical knowledge.
Experience within a maintenance environment Excellent troubleshooting skills.
Ability to manage time and perform duties to strict customer driven deadlines.
Team player with can do attitude.
Ability to work on own initiative.
Multi-tasking skills and the ability to respond quickly in a fast-paced production environment.
Flexibility with shift patterns as some maintenance and other projects must take place during line downtime and out of hours.
Ambitious and interested in self-development.
