Basic Grade Speech & Language Therapist
This is an opportunity to join a multidisciplinary team in the Adult Intellectual Disability sector as a Speech & Language Therapist. The role offers development of skills in both Communication and Dysphagia, with full supervision and professional development support.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assessment and Treatment: Assess, diagnose, and implement treatment plans for adults with intellectual disabilities.
* Intervention and Support: Provide intervention for individuals with both communication needs and dysphagia.
* Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to deliver person-centered care.
* Training and Development: Provide training and support to families, caregivers, and staff as required.
* Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records and contribute to service development.
Essential Criteria:
* Qualifications: A recognized qualification in Speech & Language Therapy.
* Registration: CORU registration (or pending).
* Experience: Minimum of three months' experience working with adults with intellectual disabilities.
* Transportation: Full Irish driver's license and access to own transport.
* Skills: Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
