Diabetes Care Kilkenny
Our new manufacturing facility in Kilkenny, opening in 2024, reflects the growing demand for Abbott's global Diabetes Care products. The facility will be a centre for world-class engineering, quality, medical device manufacturing, and other science-based professionals to produce life-changing technologies, including the FreeStyle Libre 3, a system that automatically delivers real-time glucose readings, with unsurpassed 14-day accuracy and optional glucose alarms directly to smartphones.
Your Role in Making a Difference
As a Junior Process Engineer Ebeam, you will contribute to shaping the future of healthcare by supporting our manufacturing process. Your responsibilities include:
1. Service, troubleshoot, and solve problems with processes or equipment already in operation.
2. Coordinate and contribute to the design of Ops, protocols, specifications, and validation documentation (IQ/OQ/PQ).
3. Lead teams or projects as required.
4. Calculate, organize, and analyze data for projects.
5. Model, implement, and maintain processes and unit operations.
6. Ensure proper sequence of operation and prepare specifications and operating instructions for processing equipment.
7. Ensure processes and procedures are in compliance with regulations.
8. Manage corrective and preventive actions and investigation management.
9. Monitor machine performance (OEE/KPI's) in real time to maximize production output.
10. Contribute to analytical development through design and execution of experiments, data analysis, and communication of conclusions through presentations and reports.
11. Seek opportunities for significant process or product improvements, considering critical quality attributes, critical process parameters, and product performance characteristics.
12. Develop and maintain project timelines and provide updates and feedback to leadership.
Requirements
* A Craft cert or NFQ Level 7 closely related discipline is desired.
* 1+ year experience within the Pharmaceutical/Medical Device Industry - Sterilization experience would be an advantage.
* Project experience preferred.
* Strong problem-solving skills.
* Must possess good organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
