Job Description
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QC Technician to join our team in a new Manufacturing facility based in Dublin. This is a high-volume and fast-growing industry.
Key Responsibilities:
* Coordinate quality control activities, including welding engineering, supervision, material selection, NDT control and management, quality control management, review and analysis of welding control requirements, and performing quality checks on incoming raw material.
* Conduct factory sample checks and record results according to procedures.
* Inspect and test products before, during, and after welding.
* Assist with En10-90 audits and conduct routine internal audits.
* Calibrate and validate measuring, inspection, and testing equipment.
* Evaluate the quality of powder-coated products and ensure all QC inspections are completed prior to product shipment.
* Review and update structural department procedures regularly.
* Assist with non-structural manufacturing tasks as required.
* Carry out traceability and recall tests.
* Collaborate with the Quality Manager on internal audits.
* Investigate customer complaints and assist with communication with suppliers.
* Manage supplier complaints and coordinate cross-functional teams for investigations.
* Maintain a clean and safe Quality Testing area.
* Cover other shifts as needed due to sickness or annual leave.
* Perform other duties as required.
Essential Candidate Requirements:
* Previous experience in a Quality Inspection role.
* Prior knowledge of welding processes.
* Experience with measurement and testing equipment.
* Familiarity with structural steel fabrication and powder coating.
* Structured, self-motivated, and detail-oriented individual.
* Result-driven professional comfortable working with cross-functional teams.
* Able to work accurately under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Proficient in MS Office and ability to learn new IT systems quickly.
