We have a fantastic new vacancy for a Bars Manager in the beautiful Connemara Coast Hotel.
Objective of the Role
To motivate & coach bar teams to exceed customer expectations at every opportunity. Also, to ensure food and beverage profitability by managing the bars, providing efficient, prompt, trouble-free, courteous, quality food and beverage service to guests, and processing beverage orders for the restaurant, in line with departmental and hotel guidelines, and the business plan for the Connemara Coast Hotel.
As part of your role:
1. Work with the management of the hotel and assist in the daily running to ensure the delivery of excellent guest service from the Bars Department.
2. Ensure potential GOP is met.
3. Liaise and work with the current 3rd party stock taker and accounts, ensuring all variances in stock/cash are followed up, action taken, and stock is secure at all times.
4. Monitor department’s overall service, interaction with other departments, and teamwork daily, encouraging good relationships through good communication and regular meetings.
5. Conduct regular inventories of stock, glassware & other supplies and ensure tight control of these items.
6. Ensure that all services provided (e.g., equipment, refreshments) are signed for.
7. Ensure that all cash/credit payments are correctly checked before acceptance, and that tight control and security of payments are kept.
8. Assist in planning rosters in accordance with business levels and the budget.

2. Previous experience in a management or supervisory position in a busy Bar department is essential.
3. The ability to work towards achieving financial goals and targets set.
4. Proven ability to supervise bar operations with a track record of delivering guest satisfaction, employee retention, and engagement.
5. Strong ability to work efficiently and deal with busy periods competently.
6. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
7. Self-motivated and enthusiastic.
8. Excellent interpersonal skills.
