We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Kitchen Porter at {company}.
Job Summary
As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our kitchen. You will be responsible for washing dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment, as well as cleaning and sanitizing kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Dishwashing – Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment either by hand or using industrial dishwashers
* Kitchen Cleanliness – Clean and sanitize kitchen surfaces, countertops, and food preparation areas
* Empty rubbish bins and ensure proper disposal of waste materials
* Food Preparation – Assist chefs and cooks with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling, chopping, and slicing ingredients
* Inventory Management – Assist in receiving, storing, and organizing kitchen supplies and ingredients
Requirements:
* No formal education is required, but a high school diploma or equivalent may be preferred
* Physical stamina and the ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects
* Good attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions
