Here in Hays Recruitment, our Multinational Pharmaceutical client in Cork is hiring an Operations Microbiologist.
Reporting to the Plant Microbiologist, the Operations Microbiologist is responsible for active participation in the microbiological control and assurance program within the operations department, managing activities in compliance with corporate, cGMP, EHS, and other regulatory requirements.
Your new role
1. Lead by example and strive to perform to high standards at all times in compliance with Credo and Standards of leadership.
2. Perform all activities in compliance with corporate, cGMP, EHS, and other regulatory requirements.
3. Actively lead/support process microbiological investigations.
4. Perform routine area walkdowns/GEMBA’s.
5. Support and drive strategic improvements related to the reduction of contamination risks and the improvement of microbiological hygiene through the promotion of a culture of continuous improvement and open communication.
6. Perform Risk Assessments for operations projects and business innovation initiatives.
What you'll need to succeed
1. B.Sc. in a scientific/technical discipline required, ideally in the microbiology discipline.
2. Minimum of 5 years of experience within a pharmaceutical or GMP regulated operations environment.
3. Possess knowledge and experience of the shop floor manufacturing process.
4. Possess knowledge of data analytics.
5. Knowledgeable of FDA/EMEA regulatory requirements applicable to biologics and/or pharmaceuticals.
