Reporting to the Manufacturing Filling Supervisor, the Manufacturing Filling Process Technician will independently perform fundamental tasks within a GMP environment by cleaning and maintaining the workplace. The Technician will disassemble, clean, and reassemble equipment for production activities, perform process control manipulations, use various computer control systems and analytical equipment to perform real-time documentation in appropriate production procedures while maintaining accurate records and logs. The Technician will be expected to recognize and identify safety hazards and utilize troubleshooting skills in alignment with job responsibilities.
This role will involve shift work.
Primary Responsibilities for Role:
* Ownership for the setup, coordination, regulation, and troubleshooting of processing equipment in an aseptic biologics processing environment for plasma-derived pharmaceuticals.
* Perform filter integrity testing.
* Prepare chemical solutions for production use. Strict adherence to Dept. Safety Rules.
* Maintain acceptable aseptic gowning qualification and media fill certification.
* Detailed general facility housekeeping (i.e., minor cleaning, keeping work and production area neat and free from clutter).
* Responsible for the cleaning (Manual and automated CIP/SIP) and upkeep of all associated facilities and equipment, ensuring all areas are maintained in proper working order.
* Real-time documentation (i.e., BPR) during production run and maintain accurate records/logs.
* Monitor and operate various computer control systems for production activities (i.e., SCADA).
Person Specification:
* Minimum 1 year experience working in aseptic manufacturing, ideally within filling.
* Experience with gowning in a graded environment (Preferably Cleanroom Grade A/B).
* Experience with working shifts (including night shift).
* Must be proactive, results-oriented, and have strong attention to detail.
* Self-starter with strong work ethic and the ability to exercise good judgment.
* Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple tasks to meet targeted deadlines.
* Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with personnel at all levels in a team environment.
* Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills with the ability to make structured decisions on a routine basis.
Qualifications:
* Bachelor's degree preferred: Emphasis on Biology, Chemistry, Manufacturing, or Mechanical Engineering or closely related scientific/technical discipline desired.
* In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of related experience in a pharmaceutical, GMP, or EU regulated environment.
