Lead Quality Engineer / Quality Supervisor

Key Responsibilities:
* Lead the inspection team, overseeing incoming, in-process, and final inspections to ensure components meet required specifications.
* Conduct detailed inspections using precision measuring equipment such as CMMs, borescopes, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
* Maintain and manage calibration schedules for all measuring equipment and coordinate external calibration services.
* Evaluate material and component traceability using the company's ERP system.
* Investigate quality issues and non-conformances, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
* Work closely with engineering and production teams to address quality concerns and improve manufacturing processes.
* Assist in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485.
* Support and prepare for customer, supplier, and accreditation audits.
* Conduct and oversee First Article Inspections (FAI) and ensure all documentation is accurately maintained.
* Train and mentor quality inspectors and production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
* Monitor scrap and rework rates, producing reports and assisting in process improvements.
* Oversee final product release, ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer standards.
* Assist with supplier quality management, including supplier audits and performance reviews.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives, including Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma principles.
* Prepare inspection reports, quality documentation, and performance metrics for senior management.
Requirements:
* Previous experience as a Lead Quality Inspector, Quality Supervisor, or Senior Quality Technician within precision engineering, aerospace, or medical device manufacturing.
* Strong hands-on experience with CMM operation and programming, as well as manual measuring tools.
* Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100, and ISO 13485 quality standards.
* Ability to interpret and inspect technical drawings and Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
* Experience leading quality teams or mentoring junior inspectors.
* Strong problem-solving skills with experience in root cause analysis and corrective actions (CAPA).
* Effective communication and leadership skills, capable of working with cross-functional teams.
* High attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
* Proficiency in ERP systems for traceability and quality tracking is an advantage.
