Job Title and Grade: Staff Nurse - Intellectual Disability Services
Purpose of the Post
The primary aim of this role is to provide comprehensive support within the health and social care framework, addressing the practical, physical, and emotional needs of individuals with intellectual disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Support service users in identifying and achieving personal goals through individualized care plans.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, families, and other stakeholders to implement care plans.
* Facilitate service users' active involvement in their community, including participation in trips outside normal working hours.
Requirements
* Registered in the Intellectual Disability/Mental Health Division of the Live Register of Nurses maintained by An Bord Altranais (NMBI).
* Experience working in residential or day service settings with individuals with intellectual disabilities.
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
