Title: Production Operator
Temporary Summer Cover (May-Sept)
Location: Waterford
The operator is required to carry out all duties associated with the successful operation of the area to the highest level, focused on continuous improvement of all work processes and practices.
* Operates and monitors equipment as deemed appropriate by skill level.
* Provides materials in accordance with established procedures.
* Performs all operations with due care and attention and works within compliance with appropriate procedures, documentation, governmental regulations, safety programs, lean manufacturing principles, and current good manufacturing practices.
* Ensures all daily targets are achieved while maintaining good standards of GMP and housekeeping within the area.
* Manages production flow and output, by carrying out a range of functions including tracking product at each stage of the process to ensure optimum equipment uptime and target outputs.
* Maximises outputs of all products, within quality standards.
* Plays a key role in the development of the manufacturing systems and will be responsible for continuous improvement initiatives.
* Proactively identifies operational improvement opportunities or process-related issues including escalation & follow-up for effective resolution and implementation.
* Champions safe working practices and safety initiatives within their functional area.
* Contributes and assists with Corporate, FDA Auditors, and other regulatory bodies during company audits.
* Takes an active role in area and site communications, making continuous improvement suggestions as appropriate.
Qualifications
* Minimum qualification - Leaving Certificate or equivalent.
* Relevant experience in a similar environment advantageous.
* Knowledge of GMP is an advantage.
* Experience in lean manufacturing practice and problem-solving tools.
Must be willing to work in a controlled environment, which involves the wearing of a gown, cap, and relevant personal protective equipment.
Excellent timekeeping and attendance are essential.
