Job Title: CVRT Tester
The primary duties and responsibilities of this role include:
1. Conducting thorough CVRT tests on HGVs and LCVs to ensure compliance with all regulations.
2. Operating testing equipment accurately and efficiently.
3. Analysing test results, identifying faults, and issuing CVRT certificates or failure notices.
4. Maintaining detailed and accurate records of all tests conducted.
5. Liaising effectively with customers to explain test results and recommendations.
6. Assisting with workshop tasks such as diagnosing and repairing faults identified during testing (depending on experience).
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications, skills, knowledge, and attributes:
1. Qualified CVRT Tester LCV and HGV.
2. Qualification in tachograph calibrations.
3. Experience in CVRT testing (ideally at least 3 years) is highly desirable.
4. A team player with the ability to work on their own initiative in a busy environment.
5. Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
6. A high degree of product and technical knowledge, including engine, cab and chassis, RCV bodies, lifting equipment, and weighing equipment.
7. HGV / PSV licence an advantage.
8. Flexibility and willingness to work in any required areas.
9. Proficiency in the English language is a requirement.
