Job Description
Elgin Energy is looking for a Financial Accountant, on a permanent basis, reporting to the Finance Manager.
* Managing the day-to-day finance functions, including reviewing reconciliation of all bank accounts and oversight of intercompany transactions;
* Preparation and review of month-end reporting process and accounts;
* Production of consolidated monthly management accounts together with supporting financial analysis and commentary;
* Contribution to internal and external reporting requirements;
* Preparation and review of VAT returns in Ireland and the UK;
* Co-ordinating and preparing annual audit pack for external auditors;
* Answering ad hoc queries from both internal and external stakeholders;
* Collaboration with various business units within the Elgin group.
Your Profile
The ideal candidate will have:
* ACA/ACCA qualification with 1+ year PQE;
* Experience in quarterly / annual management accounts preparation through to consolidation across multiple jurisdictions extremely desirable;
* Strong foundation in financial accounting;
* Advanced Excel skills;
* Excellent communication skills and a willingness to engage immediately across a variety of teams;
* Ability to work on own initiative as part of a growing finance team and company overall.
