A Manufacturing Engineering Technician is required for our Cork based MN electronics manufacturing client.
The Role
* Support the equipment and processes required to produce high reliability electronic circuit card and system assemblies.
* Sustain day-to-day maintenance of SMT, PTH and Systems assembly equipment and manufacturing process procedures.
* Perform monitoring of SMT, PTH & System assembly build quality, identify and resolve quality yield issues.
* Maintain equipment in safe working order, adhere to preventative maintenance schedules and maximise machine uptime.
* Work with Manufacturing, Product and Design Engineers on New Product Introductions (NPI) and timely ordering of stencils and jigs.
* Program and debug computer controlled equipment.
* Select, order and maintain machine spares.
* Work with Manufacturing Engineering Team lead and engineers on lean product flows and new equipment installation.
* Responsible for housekeeping of relevant work areas and spares storage areas.
* Provide training to other technicians and operators.
* Adhere to all company health and safety rules, regulations and risk assessments.
Requirements
* Greater than 2 years experience in certified Electronics Manufacturing environment, applying Lean principles.
* Level 6 qualification in Electronics, Mechanical / Automation Electrical, Technology, Mechatronics or similar.
* Problem solving skills, able to work on own initiative with little supervision, in a manufacturing environment of rapidly changing priorities.
