Mechanical Quantity Surveyor
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Quantity Surveyor to handle both pre and post-contract duties across various sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
Pre-Contract:
* Prepare capital cost estimates
* Assist in tendering procedures and contract arrangements
* Develop pricing documents for tender packages
* Advise on tendering procedures and draft instructions
* Create tender evaluation criteria and PQQ questionnaires
* Handle queries and evaluate tender submissions
* Negotiate with tenders
Post-Contract:
* Manage commercial aspects of projects, reporting to the Commercial Manager
* Prepare interim valuations and monthly cost reports
* Conduct client and contractor meetings
* Negotiate and agree on variations and final accounts
* Review and assess contract claims
Ideal Candidate:
* Degree in Quantity Surveying
* Team player with strong collaboration skills
* Experience in the construction industry
* Commercially aware, flexible, and ambitious
* Driven to manage budgets and ensure project success
* Efficient and goal-oriented
